Zuzanna Bolle

Zuzanna Adamczewska-Bolle was born in Poland, in 1977. She graduated in Literacy from the University of Warsaw, and later moved to Switzerland and obtained a Master’s in Literacy from the University of Lausanne (journalism and history of cinema). She found passion in photography, shooting journalistic photos of people and places. Her skills with photography grew as it became her favorite medium. Bolle’s work then later slowly shifted into more of an artistic expression.

Throughout  2017, her focus in photography came from the
exploration of plant detail. She strives to capture the imagination and the ephemeral of nature. Bolle creates these photos by using a particular technique of kaleidoscopic shots. Bolle’s use of a kaleidoscope photography technique is reminiscent of childhood kaleidoscope toys.

One of the beauties of Bolle’s work is the ability to reorient the image for any viewer’s preference and enjoyment. Bolle’s work is inherently playful, encouraging viewers to explore their imagination and dreamscapes. Her images highlight the floral universe filled with grace and complexity.

“I like to contemplate nature to the point of being hypnotized by its imaginary forms, its lush colors, its abundant patterns, its impenetrable textures, its vibrant grandeur,” Bolle said.
